Recommended Batten Size
Minimum 38mm x 25mm for rafters not exceeding 600mm span. Battens to be secured with round wire or cut wire nails conforming to BS 5534.

Dry Verge: Forticrete Undercloak Dry Verge System

Undercloak: 150mm wide fibre reinforced cement strip.

Fixing (minimum):
All perimeter tiles to be mechanically fixed in accordance with BS 5534.

Nail once (Aluminium Nail 40mm x 3.35mm). Verges always clipped.
Second course of Tiles always nailed and clipped.
A Plastic Clip is available for use in exposed locations.

It is recommended that windloading calculations be carried out for all pitches and ground conditions to ascertain if more onerous fixings are required.
